Her primary focus resides predominantly on 2D work, yet she cannot be confined or tied down to any one particular medium or style. She frequently finds herself bouncing between gouache, oils, colored pencil, acrylic paintings, and graphite drawings, depending on whatever mood has struck her imagination at the moment. Currently, she produces her vibrant artwork out of her home studio, which is filled with the lively company of her two children, her supportive husband, and a delightful menagerie of animals that keep life interesting. A deep fascination with the natural world serves as a significant source of inspiration for Kat, and you can often see this influence beautifully reflected in her various works. In addition to her 2D projects, mural work has also blossomed into a passionate pursuit for her, one that has developed and flourished over recent years. Kat loves the challenge of creating large public works that bring her unique energy and artistic vision to different spaces, enlivening them in meaningful ways. As of January 2024, she is now happily residing in Richmond, VA!
